Losing Grandpa isn't quite as devastating as losing Dad. Grandpa was much older and had been very frail and ill for ages, and we knew it was only a matter of time before we lost him. We just had no idea how "soon" it would really be, and now that it is over, it's a bittersweet feeling. Death is a mercy for him, but he's our grandpa (and Mom's dad) and we will miss him.
