My Inktober 6 - Swimming Centaur

What was meant to be one centaur turned into two centaurs having fun in the water. Not that I'm complaining!

In my story, centaurs are rather superb swimmers. They can last longer in the water because they have the strength of two robust creatures, and you'll definitely want to watch yourself around their hooves or fists. Even when they're just playing, some of them don't know their own strength. A female centaur can be every bit as tough; at least one female was known to take on three males by herself.

That's why Romulus usually has at least one centaur to guard him when he goes anywhere, because few would dare get on a man-horse's bad side.

On the other hand, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more loyal, steadfast creature. When you gain a centaur's trust, that centaur will do anything for you, and if he or she really likes you, he or she will allow you to ride on his or her back.

No one ever mounts a centaur unless it's the centaur's idea to begin with. Otherwise, you'd be down in the dirt before you knew what hit you.
