Happy Thanksgiving!

Even with a year as rough as this, with all the tricky situations that surround us to the present day, in the beautiful words of Josh Groban, "There's so much to be thankful for."

The Healing Power of Gratitude - Day 7

Today, I would be most woefully remiss if I did not #GiveThanks for my greatest blessing of all: my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Where would I be now, where would all of us be, if not for Him?

While far from adequate, I hope this modest expression of gratitude suffices.

The Healing Power of Gratitude - Day 6

Today, I #GiveThanks for writing and good books. Books can be extraordinarily therapeutic as well as entertaining, and that's why I hope to put a few books of my own out there one of these days...if I can actually finish those darn things!

I first thought up Reid's story in 2017, but Terence's story goes all the way back to 2005, or somewhere around that year. I really, honestly feel both stories have potential to be good; the main struggle is making the stories sound as good as they do in my head. For all the struggle, they're also a lot of fun and they've pulled me through a few slumps.

Of course, where would my own books be if not for the books that inspired me in the first place?

Today wasn't so bad (apart from your typical last-minute holiday customers) but I was pretty dragged out when I got home, and I need to get up early tomorrow. Plus, I've been worn down a lot lately, and not just with work.

So, I took some time to doze, and now I feel much better. I'm also gonna make myself go to bed a little sooner!

Every year, my family participates in the SNAP program and I try to attend at least one of the two performances. This year, I was able to ...
