Today, I #GiveThanks for good music. It's amazing what music can do for you, especially when you're going through a terrible funk. When I lost my dad, a lot of songs helped me, but "Consider the Lilies" by the Tabernacle Choir struck a particular nerve in a very good way.
And then you get nice, uplifting music from artists like Josh Groban, Enya, Celine Dion, Susan Boyle, David Archuleta, *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Phil Collins, Bruno Mars...the list goes on and on. There's some awesome movie soundtracks and Broadway soundtracks, too.
Of course, I can't fail to mention Christmas music. While I can only tolerate so many versions of "Winter Wonderland" and "Sleigh Ride" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," I never fail to be moved by holiday tunes like Josh Groban's "Believe," Dean Martin's "Marshmallow World," Newsong's "Christmas Shoes," Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You," Burl Ives's "Silver and Gold," and *NSYNC's "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays."
Music's a miracle, that's what it is.
