It's been an exhausting week, physically and mentally. Work in particular has been a real doozy...and I'm not happy to admit I've been dealing with a few family problems, too.
So, I'm a day late with "Inktober 8," but better late than never, and it's all good, clean fun, right?
Yes, that's my boy, Terence. Before he becomes human, he harbors a lot of Ariel-like curiosity about the human world. Sure, he considers himself superior to them (almost all unicorns, even those who like humans, view humans as beneath them by pure nature) but he's intrigued all the same.
Some might wonder why he still
likes humans after his beloved mother dies at their hands. That's
because there was one older unicorn, Nicodemus, a friend (and sort of
mentor) of the family, who looked after him and Tristan until they could
look after themselves; he saved Terence from growing up with anger and
hate.
Basically, if humans were friendly toward Terence and Amethyst, then Terence and Amethyst were friendly to them.
Terence doesn't learn much about silverware until he becomes human himself. Most people he saw eating were eating "finger food" at the time. But if Ariel ever told him this thing was called a "dinglehopper," he would tell her he'd never heard such a word in his life.
Now, on to "Inktober 9." This time, it's all Disney.
In case you can't tell, that's Cleo from Pinocchio meeting the fish version of Merlin and Wart from The Sword in the Stone, as per a suggestion from a friend.
I really like this one, not only because it's so much simpler (so I finished it much quicker) but I had a total ball with their faces! Sometimes I crack myself up.
