Since yesterday's picture was a bit of a downer, I decided to do something much more lighthearted today.

 

I was a pretty big fan of The Jungle Book in my early youth. We watched it more times than I could count, at any rate. Baloo was always my favorite character and this was always my most favorite song. Today, I maintain this is the best song (by far the most memorable) and Baloo easily provides half the entertainment by himself.

 

 

On the whole, I feel about the same way about this movie as I feel about Peter Pan: not exactly a die-hard fan anymore, but I still like it enough to watch it and listen to the soundtrack every so often.

 

Speaking of soundtracks, while I'm not usually fond of remixes, I think the Bowling For Soup remix of this song is pretty cool. I also enjoy Smash Mouth's version of "I Wanna Be Like You."
