I'm going to cut back on social media. President Russell M. Nelson, the current president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (of which I am a born, raised, and proud member), has encouraged us to go on a "social media fast" for 10 days. Since I'm already involved in "Inktober," and my hours at WinCo are still painfully low, I'll keep doing those drawings. But I will take it easy on places like Twitter and Tumblr and Facebook, I'll avoid online comics and "Not Always Right" stories, and I'll only occasionally pop into deviantART and check my email to keep too many messages from piling up.
I'll try to devote more time to reading the scriptures (we're also encouraged to read the Book of Mormon between now and the end of the year) and work on my novel; admittedly, social media
can be a huge distraction when you're trying to write.
So, for day 7, the theme is:
Exhausted. For this, I used my own character, Romulus, who is often run ragged and forced to bite off more than he has the capacity to chew. Every now and then, he drops off at his own desk. Don't worry, he gets better!
For Disney #7:
I Want. I already did my most favorite "I Want" song, so I settled for my second favorite. One of my buddies, who doesn't care much for this movie or this character, told me I did a great job, especially with the eyes.
And for Fantasytober #7:
Pegasus. I really like this one; I think it's my best so far!
